Matilda's Tea Party: Sugar Spice and Everything Nice

Take your favorite young girl to enjoy delicious tea sandwiches, and treats like Matilda Frelinghuysen once did at Whippany Farm, now the Arboretum. Learn to pour and fold fancy napkins while making party favors to use at home. The snow date is Saturday, February 11.

Family Photo Scavenger Hunt

Grab a camera or phone and stop by the Haggerty Education Center for this month’s nature photo scavenger hunt. Take a picture of every item and get a prize. Theme and prizes change monthly. A great way to get the family outdoors all year round.

Maple Sugaring Demonstrations and Festival

Join in the fun at one of the Maple Sugaring Demos and Maple Sugar Festival. Enjoy the entire process from tree to pancake-topping treats, complete with a delicious syrup taste test.

Winter’s Day on the Farm

Enjoy a tractor pulled wagon ride, and assist with maple tapping, sawing wood, cracking corn, collecting eggs, and churning butter. Watch ice as it’s harvested on the pond, weather permitting. See wood stove cooking demonstrated in the Farmhouse and The Willows kitchens.
